CrossFit Chaparral values families! We’ve found that when a couple or family does CrossFit together, positive things happen.  Here is our family plan:

  • Family member #1 pays the normal membership fee.

  • Each additional family member gets 20% off.

  • This discount does not apply to specialty programs like Enhanced Sports Performance (ESP) Kids or Teens.

Open Gym: 

Our open gym is available to experienced CrossFitters on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.  Please see one of our coaches before attending.  We will not have an assigned WOD for open gym times.  However, the coach in charge will be glad to help you.  (and of course, there is always Fran.) 

Endurance & Olympic Lifting:

Every Saturday at 6:30am, we meet for either an endurance class or Olympic lifting class. This is a great class to add to your schedule if you are training for Spartan, Ragnar, or any long race or if you would like to get better at Olympic lifting!

Specialty Clubs:

We also have clubs that meet once a month to enjoy the outdoors such as hiking, biking, and swimming!

CrossFit for Teens and Kids

Enhanced Sports Performance for Kids (ages 7 through 12) and Teens (13-19) is geared toward increasing body awareness and general physical fitness. ESP Kids and Teen programs are not simply a scaled-down version of CrossFit. Instead, our ESP program is designed for the specific developmental needs of kids and teens and is a great supplemental fitness program for sports specific training. The functional movements which compose ESP workouts develop well-rounded athletes who will be better at any and every sport that they play. All of these core movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of thoroughly-trained CrossFit Coaches.


The kids classes will focus mainly on body mechanics and awareness without the use of weights (squatting, running, jumping, pressing, etc.) while still learning new skills (rope climb, handstand hold, box jumps, throwing, etc.). The kids class also enjoys the luxury of the occasional games in class. 

In the teen classes, the goal is to develop and perfect mechanics such that the weights and the intensity of the workouts can be increased to increase sports performance.

Both classes will incorporate pre-workout stretching and mobility, a skill or strength component, a workout, and post-workout stretching. 

Kids and Teens are run at the same time on Mondays and Wednesdays where there will be a coach for each class and each class will have its own daily plan.

Enjoy yoga at CrossFit Chaparral featuring Ellen Martinoni and Leslie Ulstrup! Ellen is a registered yoga teacher at the highest level (500 hours). Her teaching is very alignment based and combines concise instruction with humor and a sense of adventure. With over 17 years of on-going study, Ellen continues to increase her knowledge of the mind, body and breath connection that is yoga and for over 15 years, she has taught all levels of students from beginners to advanced, prenatal, children, all the way to seniors and individuals with therapeutic conditions. Yoga is not only for the flexible. It can be practiced by anyone with modifications, if necessary. You start wherever you are and from there begins a journey of self-discovery and empowerment that can continue for a lifetime.
